In early 3031, Dùghlas MacConnach left the Wolf Dragoons WolfNet to join the Procyon Highland Guard and in June of 3031 moved his family to Procyon. Catrìona insisted on a strict upbringing similar to her own, pushing all of her children to excel in whatever they chose to do, with little time for childish things. As the youngest and only girl, Phaedra often found herself in the middle of her brothers battles and she learned to hold her own in a fight, first siding with one, and then the other. The only time her brothers agreed was when someone was picking on their little sister, then god help the interloper. Deciding not to follow in their father’s footsteps, Dùghlas and Niall chose the hard way, always trying to outdo the other, they both wanted to become MechWarriors like their mother. From early childhood, Phaedra showed an interest in the Secret world her father was a part of and her interest grew after he was severely wounded in 3039 while doing work offworld. Having been limited to command duties, he was determined that at least one of his children would follow in his footsteps. Seeing her interest in political intrigue grow as she matured, he was careful to make sure that Phaedra’s interests were balanced with a strong sense of duty, responsibility and morality. Above all he stressed morality, and frequently entered into philosophical debates with her, using historical references and examples. Phaedra knew she wanted to be like her father and at 17 was accepted into the NAIS Academy on New Avalon. Upon the arrival of the clans in 3049, Phaedra closely followed their actions using her contacts at NAIS. With her quick and agile mind, she quickly went to the top of her classes. Growing up with two aspiring MechWarriors, she learned to compensate for her small size by using her mind, and thanks to her brothers teaching her, she often bested the men in her class. Within hours of her graduation in May, she was in route back to her family. Since returning in 3052, Phaedra has worked with Major Stephan McKennan on occasion and only recently has she learned of the Procyon Highland Guard’s most guarded secrets and of its founder’s true origins as a member of the Wolf Dragoons. In June of 3052, the1st PHG Spec Ops began debriefings and reorganization, which was Phaedra’s introduction into the real world of counter espionage. In late December the Spec Ops finishes their retraining/ updating although the reorganization continues. In mid September 3053, there are contract negotiations with Fed-Com. LOTIS, 1st PHG, Kathil Uhlans, and Eridani Light Horse all accept contract for deep Periphery assignments lasting 36 months. Phaedra is assigned to the 1st PHG unit and travel to Epsilon Indi, with them, arriving in late October. On Epsilon Indi, the 1st PHG command staff participates in briefings and attends a party on the Eridani Light Horse’s Fortress Dropship. In November, all units land on planet and are briefed. In December of 3053 Col. MacKenzie begins planning for a raid on a Dragoon cache fleet and in July of 3054 on Bristol, the 1st PHG and Wolf Dragoons engage at the cache fleet. During this altercation MacKenzie Wolf is supposedly killed by raiders, however through their covert operatives, the 1st PHG has proof otherwise. For her assistance with this, Phaedra is promoted to Captain. In late 3055 Phaedra transfers to Farstar and in early 3056 there is a command staff meeting with Morgan Hasek-Davion concerning the division of the captured Jaguar 398 equipment and the equipment is distributed. In March, all units currently contracted are relieved by Fed-Com “House Troops,” and begin the long journey back to the InnerSphere. In May, Spec Ops and Beta 3rd BN return to Procyon from Farstar and learn of Skye uprising. Phaedra remains on Procyon. In May of 3057, all units are placed on yellow alert, after learning that the ‘Marian Hegemony’ attacked Pousbo and killed the Duchess Deborah Astra. While razing the capital city of Pousbo, 25,000 civilians are killed. In mid September of 3057 Marik/Liao declare war on the Fed-Com, citing Victor’s attempt to replace his son Joshua, with an impostor, and the Hyperpulse communications on Procyon go down. |
