In the late 27th century, the Star League Corp of Engineers was reported to have perfected the art of castle building when they completed Port Cameron. Thirty years before the exodus of General Kerensky, a massive earthquake caused an avalanche in the mountains that completely buried Port Cameron. Thus, leaving it as a symbol of the planet's glorious past, trapped within an icy tomb.

Though Cavanaugh's location, raw resources and substantial fossil fuel reserves have made it a frequent bone of contention between Marik and Steiner forces, and despite over 500 years of Lyran Commonwealth control, the world retains most of the customs of the Terran hegemony and maintains a strong sense of independence. The most telling image of Cavanaugh's independence is the determination of the population to survive, despite the harsh weather and continued raids by both the Free Worlds League and Periphery pirates. 

Culture: Most "Cavans", as the populace is called, have a strong sense of planetary identity. They believe that their great distance from the more populated worlds of the Lyran Commonwealth and Terran hegemony has led to be self-sufficient. They are content to handle their own affairs and have somewhat reluctantly accepted the rule of the Von Sereal family. However, over the past few years, with the increases made in economic growth and the presence of LOTIS, many of the world's youth have sought new lives. Many have either left Cavanaugh altogether, or have sought to join either LOTIS, or many of the new government offices.

Geography: The world Cavanaugh has two main continental masses, the larger of the two continents, "New Bremen", contains the current capital city of Cavanaugh, two other large cities, the main known military base for planetary defense, and the main spaceport. The second continent, "Tigre" holds only three cites; though most of the planet's mining and industrial production facilities are located there. To the south, located between the two continents, is the only remaining inhabited island chain. There are two cities in this chain; both are on the main island of "Tatyana." 

Planetary Lord: Duke Morgan Arthur Von Sereal, maintains strong ties to the Federated Commonwealth and is a strong supporter of the Davion/Steiner alliance. Shortly after arriving on Cavanaugh in 2391, the Von Sereal family began sponsoring efforts to terra-form the artic tundra. As a reward the Lyran Commonwealth bestowed upon the Von Sereal line the title of Graf of Cavanaugh. In 3050, Morgan Von Sereal married Serina Montgomery, Captain in 17th Skye RCT and daughter to Graf Douglas Montgomery. Morgan and Serina have no children. Morgan Von Sereal's father was Michael Sereal (believed to have been a member of Heimdall and is deceased), his mother was Grafina Diana Sereal (the commanding officer of the Lyran Intelligence Corps' elite `LOKI' division and recently killed in action against the Clans). His surviving family members include; his oldest sister Natalia (23 years old), who is jealous of Morgan and is always socializing and scheming, Deandra (21 years old), is presently training to be an intelligence operative, and his youngest sibling, Ian (15 years old), is a wanna-be LOKI agent. 

Unfortunately, there is considerable animosity between Graf Montgomery and Duke Von Sereal over political issues and Serina. Blaming Morgan for his daughter's capture on Black Earth by the Jade Falcons and Morgan's decision to leave the FedCom Armed Forces to form The Legions of The Inner Sphere in 3052, their relations have grown steadily worse. Since this time Morgan has spent a large amount of his personal fortune in building this unit with the assistance of his business partner and co-commander Baroness Kimberly Brewer.

Ruling Body: "Council of Nine" controls the daily governing of the planet. They all live and govern from Cavanaugh City, though they represent each of the major areas on the planet.

PD/ Militia: Each city maintains its own police force and a small militia. Police forces are equipped with riot gear and some limited anti-mech weaponry. Militias are trained in guerilla warfare. Most of the militia units spend their training time working closely with LOTIS. 

Industry: Known- The current industry is somewhat limited. Agriculture is the primary industry on "New Bremen", while mining and machinery productions are mostly found on "Tigre."

2) Manchester Dairies of Valley Forge
3) Glastonbury Agro Industries of New Tahiti

The main industrial corporations on Cavanaugh can be found in Asgard, Valhalla, and the Island City of Tatyana. Electronics Industries can be found in almost all cities on Cavanaugh, with the largest being in Ticonderoga.

Unknown - The Federated Commonwealth granted Clan Salvage to help form the "Legions of the Inner Sphere." Much of this salvage was Second Line Clan Mechs and a Clan Overlord DropShip. Snord's Irregulars surveyed the Cavanaugh II many years ago and located Port Cameron, only the Irregulars and the Wolf Dragoons know about this discovery.
