History: During the years of the Terran Hegemony, the SLDF maintained a garrison force of 1 regiment, made up of both battlemech and conventional forces. The garrison’s main role was to protect the Port Cameron and various supply depots. These facilities, located 180 miles due north of the Ticonderoga. Thirty years before the exodus of General Kerensky, a massive earthquake caused an avalanche in the mountains that completely buried Port Cameron. Thus, leaving it as a symbol of the planet's glorious past, trapped within an icy tomb. 

Geography: The world Cavanaugh has two main continental masses, the larger of the two continents, "New Bremen", contains the current capital city of Cavanaugh, two other large cities, the main known military base for planetary defense, and the main spaceport. The second continent, "Tigre" holds only three cites; though most of the planet's mining and industrial production facilities are located there. To the south, located between the two continents, is the only remaining inhabited island chain. There are two cities in this chain; both are on the main island of "Tatyana."
