Camberian Council through 918

The Camberian Council (though not yet called that) was founded in 909 by:
Lord Camber MacRorie (as Bishop Alister Cullen)
Father Joram MacRorie, Order of Saint Michael
   Lady Evaine MacRorie Thuryn
   Lord Rhys Thuryn
   Lord Jebediah of Alcara

On December 21, 910, the five founders added:
Archbishop Jaffray of Carbury, Order of Saint Michael
   Gregory, Earl of Ebor
Dom Turstane, Order of Saint Gabriel

Shortly thereafter, Jaffray coined the name thea Camberian Council, which stuck. The Council began surveillance of Deryni abuses, discipline of same, and codification of practices such as Duel Arcane.

In the spring of 916, Dom Turstane died in a fall. When his seat was not immediately filled, Jebediah began calling it Saint Camber's Seige, in which form it remains unfilled. Though Davin MacRorie was being considered for admission, he was killed on September 28,917, before a decision could be reached.

Less than a month later, in mid- to late October, Archbishop Jaffray was killed, further reducing the Council to six. Ansel MacRorie was selected to replace Jaffray, but before he could be formally inducted, three more deaths reduced the Council's ranks still further: Rhys, on December 25, and Jebediah and Camber-Alister on January 6, 918.

With only Joram, Evaine, and Gregory remaining, Ansel MacRorie was inducted with reduced formality sometime during the period of January 7-9. Gregory's son Jesse and Dom Queron Kinevan followed, on the 10th and 11th respectively. Queron's induction brought the complement back to six: Joram, Evaine, Gregory, Ansel, Jesse, and Queron. Tavis O'Neill was added in the spring of 918, followed by Bishop Niallan Trey, Order of Saint Michael. Evaine's death on August 1, 918, reduced the Council to seven once more.
