  		ancient esoteric fraternity.

  		the name of a pairing of Ward Cubes, i.e., Prime + Quinte = Primus (plural,
cognomena)
 
cruaidh-
  dheuchainn:
  		the ordeal, the periculum.

 
g'dula:


  		the single braid of four strands worn bt professed brethren of the Order of Saint
Gabriel; later, a general term for a single braid or clout worn at the nape of the
neck, as the border braid (plural g'dulae.)
 
keeill:

  		chapel or sanctuary; specifically, the ritual chamber underneath the Camberian
Council chamber.
 
merasha:
  		Deryni-specific mind-muddling drug; in humans, it has only a sedative effect.
 
nomen:
  		the particular name of Ward Cube in a set of Wards Major (plural nomena.)
 
phrasa:

  		the phrase that names and activates a switched pair of Ward Cubes (plural
phrasae.)
 
salutus:
  		the Reverence to the Four, e.g., Primus est Deus... (plural saluti.)
 
shiral:
  		a psi-sensitive stones similar to amber, found in streambeds and on seashores.
 
talicil:
  		antipyretic drug, similar in effect to aspirin.
