The Varnites – Canons of the Varnite School, separated from the cathedral chapter at Gregotha in the late 8^th century and coexisted as a Deryni teaching order and school until shortly after the Festillic Interregnum. Ultra-conservatives split off earlier and eventually became the Gabrilites. Earlier esoteric threads contributed to both traditions.
